WORLD CUP 2022 : The end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for Poland. The great adventure ends .for us Poland lost to France 1: 3 in the 1/8 final of the World Cup

Poland lost to France 1: 3 in the 1/8 final of the World Cup , and Qatar continues .

Poland – France was the match in the 1/8 body of the World Cup in Qatar 2022. The white and red team emerged from Group C in second place and thus ended up against the leaders of Group D, the French. As with the match against Argentina, we are not the favourites.

The statistics of past meetings between the Polish and French national teams are not in our favour. So far, we have faced the tricolour team 16 times. We won three games, five ended in draws, and eight times we came off the pitch defeated. The last match in 2011 we lost 0:1 after a suicide goal by Tomasz Jodłowiec. The French will also be defending their 2018 World Cup title

It can be summarised that our Polish national team could have played better and performed better, because they had the skills to do so and well
In their first Group C match, the Polish national team drew goalless against Mexico. In the second half, a penalty kick was missed by national team captain Robert Lewandowski.

The second rival of the White-Red team was Saudi Arabia – the Poles won 2:0.

The last group clash was against Argentina, which the Poles lost 0:2 but advanced to the knockout stage of the World Cup, with Wojciech Szczęsny defending a penalty kick taken by Leo Messi.

Everyone is now saying that if we had played with more courage and scored that goal from the penalty, we would have won the match with Mexico, and today we would be playing in the 1/8 with the team from Australia. Here we would have had a chance to win against them and move on.

In the 1/8 final, the Poles fought ambitiously against France, but lost 1:3 after a very good match.

What a match for 36 years let’s rejoice , but appetites are growing and maybe in the future we will get that coveted World Championship , that’s what we all needed . Our society is already tired and needs results in football because in volleyball , basketball or handball here we have very good results and we win the World Championships or we have silver medals and bronze , and in this Football everything goes the other way there are no results , and everyone said and say that it is our time because we have the best team in years was not ? . I’ll say it like this, that everything connected with this representation is the choice of Michniewicz was a good choice, only we lacked maybe also luck, to take the first place in the group, and then for sure maybe everything would have turned out differently. We need consistency, more confidence and cold bloodedness to the end of every match then we don’t need any big stars . Because our team needs to be together and play together .

Zielinski. The midfielder could have given the red and white the lead. “With a 1:0 scoreline for Poland with eleven opponents behind the ball, the afternoon for the Tricolours could have become a nightmare. The opposite happened, Giroud’s goal forced Lewandowski’s partners to leave some space, which Didier Deschamps’ players didn’t fully exploit anyway.”

Kylian Mbappe is playing well as a player who is one of the best players in the world and is showing his side to the best of his ability because his value as a sniper is reinforced , and he came into this tournament strongly at the World Cup , and France in this way have a chance to play in the final . As for the match between Poland and France it was he who assisted on Olivier Giroud’s goal at the beginning and after the break he scored two beautiful goals.

13′ Aurelien Tchouameni shot threateningly from distance, but brilliantly by Wojciech Szczęsny.

21′ Counter attack by the Poles. A bad pass by Jakub Kaminski, but the ball was still intercepted by Robert Lewandowski, who hit from distance. The ball passed the goal, but not very far from Hugo Lloris’ goalpost.

28` Poland’s luck. Frankowski lost the ball in his own half and the counter attack went. Olivier Giroud came close to scoring after a pass from Dembele, but scored with a fatal miss.

38′ Great action by the Poles on the left. A throw-in into the penalty area. Piotr Zielinski shot, but at Lloris, he corrected again, but hit a defender. Another shot by Jakub Kaminski, but it was cleared off the line by the French. What a chance for 0:1!

44′ Goal for France! A perpendicular ball from Mbappe to Giroud. The latter does not waste the situation and shoots into the long corner, from 12 metres, past Szczęsny.

The Poles are playing really well in this encounter. They had their chances to take the lead. The French created just two good situations for themselves. The first was after our mistake. The second, unfortunately, was exploited by Olivier Giroud. Until the break in the France – Poland match we therefore have a score of 1:0.

47′ Bartosz Bereszynski fouls Dembele. Yellow card for the Pole. Szczęsny defends Griezmann’s shot from a free kick.

55′ Two dangerous actions by the French in the final minutes, but vigilant Polish defenders.

56′ Mbappe in another individual action. He shoots, ricochets. Szczęsny throws himself towards the right post and the ball flies in the opposite direction, but fortunately passes the post.

71′ Two changes in the Polish team. Nicola Zalewski for Kaminski and Krystian Bielik for Grzegorz Krychowiak.

74′ Mbappe and 2:0! Counter attack by the French 3-on-3. Dembele played to the PSG player and he calmly placed the ball under the crossbar of the Polish goal.

90’+1 3:0! Mbappe’s second goal. A brilliant goal by the PSG player. A shot into the window, although Szczęsny still managed to nudge the ball in.

90’+4 Great action by Grosicki. Milik hits the post with a tip-in. But it was offside

90’+6 VAR. It could be a penalty for Poland. And there is an eleven!

90’+8 Lewy wastes a penalty! He shoots inside, Lloris catches it. There will be a replay!

90’+9 GOOOL: Lewandowski scores in the replay! France – Poland 3:1!

Yes the best result for the red and white at this event in 36 years . Poland played well and showed itself well, and this is the Polish national team we want to see. In the first half, our representatives created several dangerous situations in the clash with the defending champion team. Despite this, the rivals came out on top with two goals by Kylian Mbappe and one by Olivier Giroud. Robert Lewandowski scored the honourable goal from a penalty kick

Realistically, we have the potential, but we just need to work more on fitness, stamina and more running, gentlemen, and we need to work on more passing and the quality of our play
