For the first time ever, a team in the NBA All-Star Game crossed the 200-point barrier 211:186. the most ever, 196, was scored by the West in 2016.

The 33-year-old Milwaukee Bucks quarterback had won the three-point throwing contest the day before. He became the second player in history, after Michael Jordan in 1988, to combine the MVP award with victory in the preceding All-Star Game. Jordan showed off his most impressive dunk 36 years ago.
The All-Star Game was supposed to be played in Indianapolis as early as 2021, but then a pandemic broke out, causing the location of the event to be changed. The last time, the NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis was played in 1985, which was 39 years ago. The location of the 2025 NBA All-Star Game is also known – it will be San Francisco, and thus the arena that hosts the Golden State Warriors team on a daily basis.
For the West, Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves) scored the most points, with 50.
LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), meanwhile, became the first to be selected for the All-Star Game for the 20th time.The 39-year-old spent just 14 minutes on the floor and scored eight points for the West.The host of next year’s All-Star Game will be San Francisco.

The biggest surprise according to the media and NBA experts, is the presence of Damian Lillard in the top five of the East team.

The Rising Stars was played similarly to previous editions, NBA players will be selected for three seven-player teams, while the fourth team will be made up of G-League players. The teams have been coached by Pau Gasol, Jalen Rose, Detlef Schrempf and Tamika Catchings. The German basketball player will lead the G-league team, while the other three will select their teams in a draftee, scheduled for 6 February at 22:00 Polish time.
The outcome of the games will not be tied to the end of regulation time, but to one team scoring a certain number of points. The semi-finals will be played to 40 points, while the final will be played to 25 points.
The rookies include San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ausar Thompson of the Detroit Pistons is also one of the more interesting players, averaging 8.3 points per game and pulling down 6.6 rebounds. It is worth noting that OKC’s Cason Wallace has found a place in the line-up

The NBA All-Star Game was first held in 1951 at the Boston Garden, where the East defeated the West 111-94. Since then, the event has been held annually, with the exception of 1999, when it was cancelled due to the NBA lockout.
In addition to the 71st previous NBA All-Star Games, there have also been nine ABA All-Star Games between 1968 and 1976. In 2020, the NBA named the All-Star Game MVP award after Bryant.
