The Rising Stars was played similarly to previous editions, NBA players will be selected for three seven-player teams, while the fourth team will be made up of G-League players. The teams have been coached by Pau Gasol, Jalen Rose, Detlef Schrempf and Tamika Catchings. The German basketball player will lead the G-league team, while the other three will select their teams in a draftee, scheduled for 6 February at 22:00 Polish time.
The outcome of the games will not be tied to the end of regulation time, but to one team scoring a certain number of points. The semi-finals will be played to 40 points, while the final will be played to 25 points.
The rookies include San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ausar Thompson of the Detroit Pistons is also one of the more interesting players, averaging 8.3 points per game and pulling down 6.6 rebounds. It is worth noting that OKC’s Cason Wallace has found a place in the line-up
