First, Manchester City defeated Tottenham 3:1 on Saturday, with goals captured by Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan and Rahe Sterling. For the championship for “The Citizens” to be a reality, either another victory of the charges of Pep Guardiola or the defeat of Manchester United was needed.
Manchester City has completely dominated the Premier League this season. They smashed all the opponents in the league and from September on they didn’t leave the leader’s seat.
Currently they have 16 points advantage over the vice-leader and each team in the league defeated at least once this season. They were also unbeatable in the league until January when they lost to Liverpool 3:4.
