After 15 years Anwil Włocławek won the Polish Championship for the second time in the club’s history! He won the fourth match in Ostrów, and the whole series against Stala 4-2, the hero Kamil Łączyński, who scored all his points in the last quarter. After 15 years of break, Anwil is again a champion of Poland! In the sixth final match of Energa Basket League the trawlers defeated BM Slam Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski. 73:65, they won the 4-2 series and won gold medals!

For 8 years, Włocławek has been waiting for a medal and 15 years for the Polish Championship. The last one was won in 2003, when Andrej Urlep was the coach, after his athlete Igor Milicic.

In the second quarter Jakub Wojciechowski had some good moments in the middle, after his throw in 33 minutes it was already 35:19. The deputy Johnson Stephen Holt tried his best to revive the game of his team, but the cautious performance without the suspended Aaron Johnson could not catch contact with the opponent, and every minute they lost faith that the fate of this meeting and of the whole competition for the gold medal could still be reversed. Igor Milicicic’s team still maintained a safe, 10-point advantage.

Then the burden of the game was borne by the captain – Kamil Łączyński. So far, he has collected 8 assistants, but no points. Meanwhile, three times in a row, he came in on top of 3 points, which was a nocdotal for Stali! Anwil regained the lead of 65:54 and after a while he still used 2 free kicks (67:56). In the end, he also noted an interception, after which he fed in opposition to Almeida, which ended in a fall (71:59).
