Before coming back to the league fields, the White Star was on the spot in the table with 17 points (Jagiellonia was ninth). No wonder that the goal of the Cracovians is to maintain. To achieve this, six new players were acquired. Reymont was hit by defenders – Hebert and Mateusz Holownia, midfielders – Nikola Kuveljić and Gieorgij Zhukov and strikers – Lubomir Tupta
Bulgarian coach Ivaylo Petev made his debut in Jagiellonia. He put only one new face into the starting lineup – goalie Dejan Ilyev. He certainly did not defend himself with this decision, because Ilyev was to a large extent responsible for the loss of the second goal. The owners of the club assume that Petev is to be a much more tough trainer than Ireneusz Mamrot. However, we will see if he will score more points than him.
Wisła Kraków players started this year’s part of the tournament as they wished and their fans expected. The “White Star” won at home with Jagiellonia and reduced the loss to two points to a place that gives a living in the league.
In the 28th minute he scored his first goal for his new employer. He finished a quick countdown, which developed thanks to the good performances of Vykan Savicevic and Lukasz Burla.
In the 50th minute Juan Camara scored, but he made a minimal mistake and the ball passed the Vistula goalpost by an inch. Unfortunately, the initiative of Jaga did not last long. The hosts were more specific in offensive actions.
In 56 minutes, a fatal mistake was made by Ilyev, who went to the ball on the line of the penal field, but there Wójcicki interfered with his intervention. The ball fell out of his hands and went to Kamil Wojtkowski, who only completed the formalities by shooting an empty goal.
In 65 minutes a technical shot was made by Jesus Imaz, but the ball hit only the Vistula goalpost. In 87 minute the White Star was already leading by 3:0, when also technical but very effective shot showed off Aleksander Buksa.
