UEFA: League of Europe for Seville Triumph. Sevilla – Inter 3-2. In total five goals were scored and better were the charges of Julen Lopetegui, winning 3:2!

The final of the European League was to be held in Gdańsk, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it was postponed to Cologne, Germany.

Sevilla was the winner of the European League in the season 2019/2020. This team from Spain defeated in the final of Inter Milan 3:2. Amazing match and I am sure it happened, it must be admitted that the fan who watched this final had nothing to complain about. Seville’s players won the European Championship for the sixth time ever at UEFA. In Friday’s finale in Cologne they beat one goal difference of Intere Milan.

In the 1990s it was the Italians who won the UEFA Cup for Milan. Inter, like Juventus Turin and Liverpool, won the UEFA Cup three times, and it has been 22 years since it won again. Sevilla, on the other hand, has now dominated this period in the 21st century. It is the sixth cup and triumph of this team.

The match started well and from the very beginning the spectacle showed that there was no lack of action and goals in this match.

The first half was a real exchange of attacks and games in the middle of the pitch for both teams, as well as goals with four goals.

It started in 3 minutes and Diego Carlos and Lukaku fought shoulder to shoulder. Finally, the other one, Inter’s striker, fell in the penalty area after the irregular intervention of Seville’s defender! Eleven for Milanese!

In the fifth minute, when from a penalty throw the lead of Inter gave Romel Lukaku. Admittedly, Bounou felt the intentions of Lukaku, but the Belgian sniper shot not to defend!

On the 12th minute, the Spanish took action. The ball hit the right wing to Navas, who perfectly centered on de Jong, and he evened out after a head strike! .

But in 22 minutes Sevilla had good action. Surprising shot from a distance Ocamposa. The attacker of Sevilla has hit the side net.

In the first half with a yellow sheet of paper Ever Banega was admonished for foul on Roberto Gagliardini.

In the second half luck smiled only to Sevilla. The fourth team of La Liga won again. After the break the game calmed down a bit. Both teams were mainly trying to control and play the attack syntax well. Both teams first of all tried not to make a mistake and played carefully with a distance to the opponent.

Very good action carried out by Sevili giving the effect of Banega ideally experienced from a free throw. In a penal field the best behaved de Jong who again with a head shot defeated the goalkeeper Samir Handanović from Inter!

In the 54th minute, however, Suso strikes with a cloudy shot, but blocked in front of the Inter penal field.

In the 59th minute Danilo D’Ambrosio fell asleep slightly while playing Romel Lukaku, but managed to win the corner throw. After the centre, Ashley Young hits from behind the 16-metre line above the bar.

The Italian team finally made a mistake. It was already the 74th minute the defender of the Inter had picked up the ball played in the penalty area. The Brazilian Diego Carlos decided to take a knockout, after which the ball bounced off Lukaku’s leg and fell into the grid. It was the action of Sevilla giving a lead to a Spanish team at 3:2.

The Milanese had the best opportunity to make up for it in 82nd minute. However, the ball was beaten by Jules Kounde, a Frenchman, after Alexis Sanchez from the goal line.

The Madrid-based ‘AS’ appreciated the class of Seville FC’s rival, indicating that Inter, described as a ‘European power’, put up a fierce resistance. The Spanish newspaper reports that in the sixth performance of Sevilla FC in just 15 years in the final of the LE, the charges of coach Julen Lopetegui perfectly celebrated the 130th anniversary of the club’s establishment.

Radio Cadena Ser, reporting on the final of the LE, recalled that the success of the Spanish team on Friday was largely due to the good positioning of the team by the former Spanish selector. The radio station noted Lopetegui’s great analytical skills, as well as the listenings he has among his players.

The El Mundo newspaper, in turn, noted the very good performance of Dutchman Luuk de Jong, who scored two goals on Friday evening and had previously decided to advance to the finals by knocking on the goal of Manchester United. In addition to the Dutchman’s ‘headshots’, it was noted that the winning goal was scored after a beautiful knockout by Diego Carlos.

Sevilla FC does not forgive in finals. Not wasting such opportunities summed up Friday’s finals of LE journal “El Mundo” in its online edition. Every time this club reached not only the final but also the quarter-final, it later proved to be the triumphant of the games.
