At the very beginning we must mention to our readers and remind them that a year ago in Lublin in the season 2019 / 2020 the same teams of VBW Arka and CCC Polkowice also played in the grand final of the Suzuki Cup of Poland for Women . Then also the players from Gdynia turned out to be better, which in Lublin after extra time won 83:73.

The team from Gdynia is the 12-time Polish Champion, 9-time winner of the Polish Cup and 2-time Euroleague vice-champion and club world vice-champion. In the final meeting Arka defeated the team from Polkowice by 69:65 and thus won the Polish Cup for the 10th time in history. The day before, the team from Pomerania defeated in the semi-final the Lublin “Pszczółka”.

The final match between the basketball players of VBW Arka Gdynia and CCC Polkowice b stood on a high basketball level and it was worth seeing those few good actions in the best basketball of Energa Basket Liga Kobiet (EBLK) in the Polish Cup final tournament. On Sunday, 7 March we watched in Arena Gdynia the best teams of women’s basketball Arka Gdynia and Polkowice met to win the cup.

In the first quarter of the game with the Polkowice players could not catch the right rhythm of the game. The match did not start well for Arki Gdynia. The match ended with the score 69 to 65.
