PKO PREMIER LEAGUE : Legia Warsaw won the Polish Premier League for the fourteenth time. Legia Warsaw – KS Cracovia 2:0. The legioniści equalised the record of Wisła Kraków from 1999-2006.

The Legion has evened out the record of Wisła Kraków from 1999-2006 in terms of the longest series of seasons ended in the top two of the league table. The ten consecutive editions of the Premier League count the military streak on the podium. This, in turn, is the second result in the history of the games after Górnik Zabrze in the years 1957-1972. The Legia Warszawa for the Fourteenth time has the title of Polish Champion in history. The legionnaires have won the highest Polish league. As a result, it has equalised the record of all time in the number of Polish Champion titles. The army thanks to three points scored in the match with Cracovia secured the title of Polish Champion in the season 2019 / 2020.

Already in 6 minutes was the first good and dangerous opportunity for the Legionaries. The hosts broke into Cracovia’s penal field, but there was no decision to shoot. Neither Karbownik nor Gwilia dared to do so, which resulted in the loss of the ball.

However, in the 7th minute it all started to happen that the match would be very interesting and fierce when Andre Martins was punished with a yellow card from the referee for a violent foul on Van Amesfoort.

In the 23rd minute it was the Legionnaires’ team that carried out the perfect centring Paweł Wszołka on the right, Tomas Pekhart broke away from Helik and from four meters he hit his head and shot Cracovia goalie Lucas Hroszszo1:0 . From the beginning, the Legion tried to impose the tempo and dominate Cracovia.

In the 53rd minute the last action of Cracovia took a long time. The guests were able to name a large number of applications, but unfortunately for the Lords, nothing came of it. Loshaj managed to win the corner throw, but also after a fixed part of the game there was no danger under the goal of Cierzniak.

However, Hrosso intervened in 58 minutes after the individual action and the shot of Wszołek. Antolić still had a chance to get a chance to get a good shot, but he scored high above the goal.

But in 62 minutes the fans fired the flares and he went big. There was a few-minute break in the game. The smoke was even hovering over the pitch. The fans exaggerated. There was limited visibility on the pitch.

In 74 minutes Rapa was close to luck. The defender fired his head after the median from the corner throw. The ball, however, was twisted from the goal and a millimetre longer post passed. The female footballer would have had nothing to say if the footballer was heading for the net.

And it happened that Legia was pushing and attacking Cracovia’s players’ fault in 75 minutes. Rapa played to Filot too short. It was used by Slisz, who bounced the ball, and it hit Gwilia. Valerian Gwilia without a moment’s hesitation tried from a distance and raised the lead! That’s a 2:0 military lead. The second goal gave the hosts much more peace. The legion does not leave half of Cracovia, which has no idea of threatening its rivals.

In the 89th minute, the military continue to attack even at the end of the match and lock Cracovia up in front of the penal field. The Polish Championship is already one step ahead. Nobody can take this Polish Champion away from them anymore, probably just an earthquake.

For Legia it is the fourteenth Polish Premier League in the history of the club (1955, 1956, 1969, 1970, 1994, 1995, 2002, 2006, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020). Thanks to this achievement, the Legioniści have balanced the league record in the number of won titles, so far held by Górnik Zabrze and Ruch Chorzów. In the same classification, but limited only to the twenty-first century, the capital’s team went on to lead independently, distancing the Vistula Krakow.
