After a break of 11 years, Boston Celtics will return to London next year to play a regular season match with the Phialdelphia 76ers team in January 2018! The Celts in Europe were indeed in 2015 recently when they played in Milan and Madrid with local bands, but they visited the capital of Great Britain recently in 2007, when they were preparing for the new season. According to reports, the match between Celtics and Sixers is scheduled to take place on January 11 in the O2 Arena. The team from Philadelphia will perform as the host, which means that for the Celts it will be just another away meeting. At the moment, we do not know yet when tickets for this take-off will be available for sale.
The Celts in recent years quite often visit Europe, but it is not surprising – they are one of the most popular NBA teams around the world, which is why the league is very keen to involve the Boston club in promotional activities on the Old Continent. The Celts will play for the first time in Europe as part of the regular season – they only played in preparation for the season before, and the only RS in their history ever played in December 2015, when they defeated the Kings team in Mexico.

The official confirmation of the information about the arrival of the Celts to Europe should be received somewhere in August, when the league will announce the entire schedule for the next season.
