LALIGA : BARCELONA BEAT SEVILLE AND LEWANDOWSKI WANTED TO SCORE A GOAL BUT IT DIDN’T WORK OUT. FC BARCELONA – SEVILLA 3:0

Our editorial team received journalistic accreditation for the first time ever from the Spanish La Liga team FC Barcelona . You can only imagine what went on there, and I was there as a journalist representing our editors Information24 and JWSPORT from Bristol for the match on 5 February at Camp Nou at 21:00 FC Barcelona – Sevilla 3-0 and for FC Barcelona’s basketball game that day, which they played earlier at 12:30 against Valencia, a match they also won 81-75. It was a double win on Sunday with some amazing events and matches that day. It was an amazing weekend for me to watch . So the Barcelona players went into Sunday’s game in very good spirits . They have come out victorious in each of their last nine matches . Last Wednesday they won an important match against Real Betis. On top of that, Real Madrid lost their match on Sunday, which gave the Blaugrana the chance to consolidate their position at the top of the league table. In turn, it defeated Elche in its last league match. Earlier, however, it crashed out of the King’s Cup, losing after extra time to Osasuna. The team from the Andalusian capital was 15th in the table before the match.

FC Barcelona are already eight points ahead of Real Madrid and are closing in on the Spanish league champion . Robert Lewandowski’s team took advantage of the stumbling of the champion, winning their match against Sevilla , as much as 3:0. Lewandowski in this match had several good actions to score goals, but somewhere lacked luck, and scored that day goals defender Jordi Alba, central midfielder Gavi and winger Raphinha.

All the top teams except the leader lost points. Real Madrid loses to RCD Mallorca 0-1 , while Barca escapes thanks to a 3-0 win and it is a round of surprises .

In contrast, Lewandowski  made his last appearance in the Europa League on 15 December 2010, in BVB’s away tie against Sevilla FC (2:2). It is worth recalling that in earlier years the national team captain experienced playing in the UEFA Cup, which has been renamed the Europa League since the 2009/2010 season. Wearing the colours of Lech Poznań, he scored six times (counting qualifiers) in this competition.

On Thursday 16.02.2023, the Barcelona striker will therefore return to competing in the Europa League after twelve years. At the Camp Nou, the Blaugrana will take on Manchester United, against whom, incidentally, ‘Lewy’ will have the opportunity to play for the first time in his career. The rematch is scheduled for 23 February. The 1/8 final is at stake in the two matches.
