We had from first hand as informacje24 from PLK ,
that the Board of Directors of the Polish Basketball League after talks with club representatives decided to end the 2019/2020 season with the classification of places, due to the prevailing Pandemic, the crown of the virus in Poland and around the world.
The new champion of Poland was Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra, and the second place was taken by Start Lublin, and third by Anwil Włocławek. Nobody from the league is falling. These decisions are made for the first time in the history of basketball since World War II 1939.
The Management Board of Polish League Basketball S.A. with its seat in Warsaw informs that on 17 March 2020, acting on the basis of the provisions of art. 13 and art. 15 of the Act of 25 June 2010 on Sport and the provisions of the Rules and Regulations of PLK and PZKosz Sports Competitions, it adopted a resolution to end the men’s professional basketball league – Energa Basket Liga – in the 2019/2020 season – we read in the announcement placed on the PLK website.
Nobody could expect such an end of the season. When the league season began in October, players and fans of all the teams hoped that it would bring the season a low expectation and that it would be the most fierce to play off among other teams until the end of the Championship.

This is the end of the season for all the teams competing in EBL. PLK has decided to keep the places in the league table according to the scores obtained until 12 March.
Due to the end of the season under the conditions indicated above, all teams classified in the table retain the right to participate in Energa Basket Liga competitions in the next season.
It seemed problematic to finish the season in a situation of omnipresent uncertainty as to how the situation in Poland and in the world will develop. Another difficulty would be the need to provide time for the players to return to their full disposal. These are just a few of the arguments that were presented in the discussion “to play or not to play?”.
Today the answer is already clear. The season ended and the final table looks like 2019/2020.
