From the very first minutes of this great Champions League final both teams fought and created attacks as much as possible. Tempo good and there was no lack of fast attacks, shots on goal in this match was very good.
You can see that neither team is going to give way and also hide in this match .
Chelsea brilliantly set up the formation in their own half without giving Manchester City space to shoot, and after the reception quickly moved the game under the goal of Ederson. Guardiola’s team tried to use de Bruyne, Foden and Sterlin to create more chances, but they were hampered by the Blues defence.
The Citizens started well in the 8th minute with Ederson sending a fantastic pass to Raheem Sterling. He found himself in a one-on-one situation with Edouard Mendy, but the goalkeeper and Reece James prevented him from making an effective shot.
Just a minute later in 9` Timo Werner had a great chance, he got a pass a few meters from the goal. Fatally skipped while trying to strike.
In the 10th minute Sterling moved towards the goal and played a ball towards Riyad Mahrez. City’s striker, however, was overtaken by a defender.
What good action in the 14thminute – Werner’s second capital chance. The German again found himself in the penalty area, but kicked straight at Ederson. In the next action, the striker hit the side netting.
Chelsea went into the break 1-0 up, having to do without Thiago Silva for the remainder of the match. The experienced defender suffered an injury and was replaced on the pitch by Andreas Christensen.
Chelsea lost Silva and Kevin De Bruyne left the pitch after a quarter of an hour of the second half. The Manchester City captain picked up an injury and in his place on the pitch was Gabriel Jesus.
We waited a bit for the first goal in this match, and exactly in the 43rd minute Mason Mount brilliantly looked out Kai Havertz and played perpendicular ball. German passed Ederson running out of the penalty area and kicked to an empty goal.
In the 68th minute we have a quick City attack, after which Mahrez played into the fifth meter. The action was interrupted at the last minute by Cesar Azpilicueta. If not for the Spaniard, Ilkay Guendogan would have had an empty goal in front of him.
Thus, in the 73rd minute, a good and composed Chealsea action between two players Havertz passed to Christian Pulisic. The American took a shot, but the ball went past the goal. A great opportunity for The Blues.
The referee added a little more time and so in the 96th minute Mahrez kicked the ball over the crossbar from just outside the penalty area. A very good action on goal .
The coach hopes that in the next games he will again have the chance to play for the highest goals.
