EUROLEAGUE: EUROLEAGUE CANCELS FINAL FOUR BASKETBALL IN GERMANY

As a referee and coach basketball in England, we hear that because of the coronavirus pandemic, sporting events in the UK are suspended or cancelled everywhere. In Poland, the league has already ended and the Master has been established. This has been the case in Europe, where Euroleague basketball has also been suspended and all their events have been cancelled.

The Euroleague Final Four tournament scheduled for 22-24 May in Cologne is cancelled. The authorities are determined to complete the tournament, but the new date and possible venue are not yet known.

“We plan to finish the season. It is already clear that this will not be possible before the end of June. We are considering various scenarios. Of course, health is the most important thing for us. So if we have to cancel the competition definitively, we will do so”, said Euroleague President Jordi Bertomeu.
