The trawlers experimented hard with the settings from the beginning, but still the hosts fully dominated the match from the beginning. The good first minutes went to Jakub Wojciechowski, who played calmly and spread the ball well. The place in the top five was also clearly taken by Ante Delas, who was already 4/5th from the distance until the break.
GTK stayed for a few minutes, until 13:13, but later, with each subsequent possession, it had more and more problems with the high defense of Anwil. Especially when Quinton Hosley and Josip Sobin, the two best defenders of the hosts, appeared on the pitch, the glyviosers had great trouble getting to the cast positions.
The team of coach Paweł Turkiewicz started the third quarter with a series of 7:0, thanks to which they reduced some of the losses. Anwil had small problems with effectiveness, but later they started to hit Zyskowski and Sobin and the situation was under control. However, after 30 minutes it was only 69:61. The team from Gliwice did not give up – after Kacper Radwański and Quinton Hooker’s hits it approached even five points, and additionally Ivan Almeida suffered an injury. The meeting was quite even until the very end, but the guests were not able to make a surprise. Anwil won 95:88.
During the game Ivan Almeida was injured (we are waiting for the diagnosis) and this is probably the only worry of Anwil fans at the moment, who with a balance of 22-4 remains the leader of PLK.
